Daily chart scan · every US-listed stock

Five thousand charts a night.
Only a few are doing something.

ZycaScan reads the daily chart of every US-listed common stock, throws out the ones too thin to trade, and lists the charts that match five plain, mechanical setups — with the exact rule each one met. No picks, no predictions, no orders.

01 — The pipeline

Four steps between the whole market and a short list.

Most charts on most days aren't doing anything worth a second look. The pipeline exists to throw those away mechanically, so the list you read is short and every name on it says why it's there.

01 / Universe

Every listed common stock

Built from Nasdaq Trader's symbol directories: common shares, ordinary shares and ADRs. No ETFs, warrants, units, rights, notes or preferreds.

02 / Liquidity

Tradeable, or it's out

Last close at least $5 and at least 1,000,000 shares traded in the last session, with 30+ sessions of history to measure against.

03 / Setups

Five rules, applied blind

20-day breakout, bull flag, 20-day average reclaim, oversold, oversold bounce — computed on daily closes, the same way for every chart.

04 / Publish

Listed, charted, logged

Every match goes on the list with its rule, its 3-month chart and its RSI. What's new, what changed and what dropped off is logged run to run.

Live — breakouts today

When a level breaks, it lands here and in Discord.

Every 5 minutes during market hours, last night's candidates are checked bar by bar: a 5-minute close above the 20-day high, or above the opening range, with at least 1.5× normal volume. Each one alerts once.

02 — Live output

What matched in the last scan.

The real output of the last scan, most actively traded first (price × volume). Filter by setup; every name links to its chart in the explorer.

03 — Market read

Read the scan, not just the list.

How many charts matched each rule says something about the tape on its own. A night heavy on breakouts reads differently from one heavy on oversold names.

Matches by setup

A chart can match more than one rule, so these add up to more than the number of matched charts.

RSI 14 of matched charts

Dashed lines mark 30 (oversold) and 70 (overbought).

Activity log

Every new match, change, and drop — logged.

Each scan is compared with the one before it. Names that newly match, switch setups, or stop matching all stay in the log. Nothing is cleaned up after the fact.

04 — Use it

Browse it here, or run it yourself.

Both run the same scan. The difference is whether you read the nightly result here, or run the scanner on your own machine and take it further. Everything is free, and nothing on this site trades.

Before you read anything into it

Questions worth asking.

Is this a list of stocks to buy?
No. It's a list of charts that matched a mechanical rule on the last close. A setup is a description of what a chart did, not a prediction of what it will do, and plenty of breakouts fail the next day. ZycaScan doesn't know your money, your risk, or your plan.
Why are there hundreds of matches?
Because the rules are deliberately simple and run on daily closes only. On a strong day hundreds of charts close at a 20-day high; on a weak one, hundreds go oversold. Use the filters, look at confluence, and start from names you already know.
Where does the data come from, and how fresh is it?
The symbol list comes from Nasdaq Trader's public directories; prices come from Yahoo Finance's free chart data, which is unofficial and can lag or be wrong. The scan runs on completed daily closes, so it describes the last session, not the market right now. The timestamp on every page says which close it is.
Does this site place trades?
No. There is no account, no broker connection and no order anywhere on this site. If you run the scanner yourself as Claude skills, orders go to a paper account by default and only after a risk check passes and you type an explicit yes for that one order.
How do the breakout alerts work, and where do charts come from?
Each night the scan sets a 20-day-high level for up to 150 candidates. Every 5 minutes during market hours, a 5-minute bar that closes above its level (or above the opening range) on at least 1.5× normal volume is posted to Discord once and listed in the Live section. Detection runs on free Yahoo data. The interactive charts in the explorer are TradingView's own embedded widget, on TradingView's data, so prices can differ slightly. See the methodology for the exact rules.
What does "Replay" show?
What each past scan listed, and the change from the close it was flagged at to the latest close. Close to close, no costs, no slippage, and only as many scans as have been run. It's a record, not a backtest and not a track record.
